This upload contains scans of the official Raijin Comics release of Bow Wow Wata from the early 2000’s.
For those unaware, in the early 2000’s, before Viz released their shonen jump magazine in North America, there was another manga magazine publishing manga in North America called Raijin Comics. Raijin was a magazine published by Gutsoon! Entertainment and published series such as City Hunter, Fist of the Blue Sky, Baki, and Slam Dunk, among others. This publisher was originally spun off from the Japanese publisher coamix which itself was formed by the old school shonen jump legends tetsuo hara (fist of the north star) and tsukasa hojo (city hunter).
Raijin Comics ran for 47 issues before becoming defunct. This was scanned by the Raijin Comics Preservation Squad and we are trying to scan and preserve as much of Raijin/Gutsoon’s manga releases in North America as we can.

Yashiro Animal Hospital is an ordinary, everyday animal clinic except for one small detail – the doctor can talk to his patients! He opens up a counseling center for animals to come in and discuss their problems. His son, Tasuke, is not so hot on this because he thinks that his father’s business cannot pay-off their debts. One day, Funakoshi Misato, a third-year transfer student at Tasuke’s high school, brings in her dog wata tor a check-up. Misato cannot keep Wata in her apartment, so Tasuke. who fell in love with Misato on first sight, volunteers to keep Wata. Unfortunately for Tasuke, keeping Wata is no easy task. Wata has a habit of biting anyone other than his master. After being bitten by Wata, Tasuke discovers that he, too, has his father’s special ability to communicate with animals!
